Blame the victim.

Nice.

Not unexpected though.

If that is what you get from the Hindu's editorial, then I feel pity for you.

Well Liar, it appears you want to play.

OK by me.

Your choice.

I am sorry you are unaware of The Hindu newspaper and the weight it's editorials have. Try reading non-American English newspaper sources from other democratic countries that have a third view and neutral perspective. If I help in exposing Americans to other opinions outside of the Anglo-American bubble, so much the better. I find India's English news sources to be best at this since they are not invested in the Anglo-American world view and thus can see a story from a unique perspective.

You know, you should try to get your self-esteem up a little. Don't auomatically assume that everyone else is so much better educated and more cosmopolitan than you are!

I'm going to write a blog post just for you.

As it turns out, you are indeed very special.

And thank you for responding.

re: #7 SanFranciscoZionist

You know the Hindu is pretty much the gold standard in Indian newspapers and their editorial page is written from actually a very Indian conservative point of view. It is not a communist newspaper nor a fire brand publication. It is very much rooted in the Anglo-Indian tradition of newspapers.

But all researchok got from it is "it blames the victim" when what it says is deeper than that, so I called him out on it. And I call out your know-nothingness tendencies also.

Or maybe he was trolling me. That's his problem. Don't bother me none.

Sorry, I read 'foreign' news sources...and like it.

11 Political Atheist  Wed, Sep 12, 2012 1:14:11pm

I read foreign"neutral *cough* sources too. Outside our bubble-Yes that is correct. But most fail to mention these sources have their own agenda, or bubble. The mid east is a veritable treasure trove of truthers. Millions of them, far more than here.

Funny how it's nearly always the fault of the west. For supporting a despot. Then not supporting him. Then for helping remove said despot. Then for not helping enough or helping too much.

Then it's all about this hopelessly obscure horrible movie that the US government had nothing to do with. A movie that the government is forbidden to stop because we have this heathen free speech thing. Not American policy. not 9/11 anniversary or AQ.

Welcome to the most easily cited scapegoat in the known universe, These United States Of America. it's not about violence, militant Islam, bad governence, or awful domestic policies in other countries. Nope, it's all about mus here in the 50 states.

The Hindu newspaper from India is not from the Middle East. See Google Maps. Why did you bring up the Middle East and their opinions in relations to an editorial written by India's Hindu newspaper?

You lived your whole life as part of the mainstream American establishment. Don't make me laugh at how persecuted you feel you have been in America. You are just a cog in the oppressive machine you support. Nothing funnier than American middle class whites who claim they are oppressed minorities.

Oops. My mistake. I was hoping you would take that personally. You're the one with the belief in Global American/Israeli persecution. Haven't you been reading your own comments?

Well, let's put it this way. If I'm walking down the street by myself, and there are four of you, I know the score. If I owned a business with a plate glass window, and there are four of you, I know the score. And you need four because simply three will not make the cowardice disappear.

This is why I love/hate you Destro. You talk about how us americans are narrow-minded or something. And then proclaim that if we don't see things your way, that further proves that we're closed-minded. And you're painfully oblivious to the irony.

re: #25 EiMitch

This is D's comment on Sept 7, from a post entitled 'Hitler on the Campaign Trail.'

The phrase was also used in a report prepared during the war by the United States Office of Strategic Services in describing Hitler's psychological profile:

His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.

Which kind of sounds like the modern Republican way of thinking.

And now you have 'oblivious' defined to new depths.

Yea, because you spend all this time attacking the messenger but not the message. Here is the Hindu's editorial and it's clear condemnation of America's military interventionism. But like I wrote before, Americans don't want to understand what 'blowback' means and how it comes about. From arming jihadis in Afghanistan (something India has suffered from via Pakistan and the CIA's links) to 9/11 and on and on.

Say's you who calls everyone a Nazi and thinks they read the Protocols of Zion for inspiration? I said what I said tongue in cheek though I do think the GOP are more Gen. Franco than Hitler.

You know, just for shorthand, maybe I'll numerate your rules and just call out numbers instead of spending time in rebuttal. For instance--2,3, and 5. And 8, lots of 8. You're filled with 8.

HA! Socrates was a steady combat veteran, he was no drama queen. Like most ancient Greek hoplites, he'd regard you as foolish, unable to get along with your peers, and useless in a phalanx.
